Interview Video for DaMeiZhiJian
Da Mei Zhi Jian is an employee green travel initiative by Medtronic Shanghai. I created an interview video highlighting the project, showcasing its impact, and celebrating the company’s commitment to sustainability. This video was released on July 2023.
I took on multiple responsibilities, including attending the event, setting up cameras, and coordinating with a colleague who served as the interviewer. I managed all aspects of video editing and post-production to deliver a polished final product. The project spanned one week, from pre-production planning to video completion.

The primary goal was to produce a video that effectively communicated the importance of green travel to Medtronic employees while reflecting the company’s values. A secondary goal was to engage employees and encourage participation in future sustainability efforts.
Challenges
Creating a professional and engaging video in a live event setting posed unique challenges, such as managing on-site technical issues and ensuring high-quality footage despite unpredictable factors. Coordinating schedules and meeting tight deadlines were additional hurdles.
Design Process
The process began with pre-event planning, including preparing the equipment and selecting interviewees. During the event, I set up the cameras, captured footage, and directed the interview session. Afterward, I focused on video editing, ensuring that the final product was visually appealing and communicated the project’s objectives clearly. I also attended a design thinking workshop held at the event, which provided additional insights into sustainability efforts and earned me a certificate of participation.
Results
The interview video successfully showcased Da Mei Zhi Jian’s impact, receiving positive feedback from employees and stakeholders. It served as an effective tool for promoting green travel within the organization. The project not only enhanced my technical skills in video production but also deepened my understanding of Medtronic’s sustainability initiatives and collaborative culture.
